Dr. Kathleen B. Aviso is an associate professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering in De La Salle University. She is currently the Research and Advanced Studies Director of the Gokongwei College of Engineering at De La Salle University and served as an Environmental Specialist for Innogy Solutions at the Conduct of the Third National Inventory for Dioxins and Furans in 2012. She received her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at De La Salle University. She also received the 2013 Outstanding Young Scientist Award in the field of Industrial Engineering given the Philippine National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).

Prof. Doralyn S. Dalisay is an Assistant Research Professor at the Institute of Biological Chemistry at the Washington State University.  She received her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of New South Wales. She is also a New Faculty Seed Grant Competition Awardee given by the Washington State University in 2013. She is a member of several scientific and professional societies including the American Chemical Society.

Dr. Michael Angelo B. Promentilla is a full professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering in De La Salle University. He received his D. Eng. in Socio-Environmental Engineering at Hokkaido University. He received several publication awards including the Outstanding Scientific Paper Award given by the Japan Concrete Institute (JCI) and the National Award for Research and Publication (REPUBLICA award) given by the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED) both in 2014. He also received the 2013 Outstanding Young Scientist Award in the field of Socio-environmental Engineering given by the Philippine National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).

Dr. Edilberto D. Redoña is a Senior Scientist II at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines. He received his Ph.D. in Genetics at the University of California, Davis. He received several fellowship awards including the Fellowship Award for Ph.D. studies under the International Program for Rice Biotechnology given by The Rockefeller Foundation.  He is also a recipient of several professional awards including the William D. Dar Achievement Award in Research Management given by the Crop Science Society of the Philippines.

Prof. Jonel Saludes is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the Washington State University. He received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the University of California, Davis.  He received his Postdoctoral Fellow in Chemical Biology given by the University of Colorado Boulder and is a fellow of the Exchange of Scientist Scheme of the UNESCO Regional Network for the Chemistry of Natural Products in Southeast Asia. He is also an Editorial Board Member for the American Association for Cancer Research – Chemistry in Cancer Research.

Dr. Mariano R. Sto. Domingo is an Assistant Research Scientist and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology in the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). He received his Ph.D. in Human Services Psychology, Community and Applied Social Psychology Track at UMBC. He is a recipient of the Most Outstanding Book/Monograph Award in 2000 and winner of the UNESCO International Award for Literacy Research in 1996 for his research entitled “Cognitive Consequences of Literacy: Studies on Thinking in Five Philippine Communities”. He served as the Program Evaluation Director for Let’s Go Boys and Girls, Inc., an organization which helps support and engages elementary and middle school students through the STEM education pipeline.
Dr. Oscar B. Torres is a Postdoctoral fellow at The Henry Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry at The Ohio State University. He is a recipient of several awards including the 2013 Aurum Award – Student’s Choice Most Outstanding Faculty Member given by the DLSU Chemical Society.  He is also a member of several scientific and professional societies including the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP). He is involved in the development of a combination vaccine which treats heroin addiction and prevents HIV infection at the same time.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
Dr. Krista Danielle S. Yu is an Assistant Professor at De La Salle University. She received her Ph.D. in Economics at De La Salle University. She participated in different trainings during her graduate studies which include the Economic Growth, International Trade and Environmental Economics at the Universitat de Barcelona Summer School. She is also a member of the Society for Risk Analysis, the International Input-Output Association, and the Philippine Economic Society.
